Christos’ practice is focused on problem situations and distressed debt arising from credit and loan defaults. He represents clients in the settlement or litigation of disputes arising from personal and business loans as well as mediations, and undertakes representation of banks in obtaining default judgments and cases against debtors with no known address. Christos has experience in all types of enforcement proceedings, including payment orders and injunctions, and acts in adjustments to mortgage and asset registers to reflect enforcement orders. He advises on the law applicable to over-indebted households and businesses, debt restructuring, insolvencies and administrative, civil and commercial disputes arising from private agreements, State contracts and inheritance law.
Christos has worked in private practice since 2005, during which time he has worked closely with the legal department of Alpha Bank (previously the Commercial Bank of Greece) on the full range of issues arising from secured and unsecured retail and consumer loans. He holds a Certificate in Foundation Mediation Skills which he obtained in 2014.
